An Australian family’s pet magpie named Penguin appears to think she’s a human.
The Sydney family rescued the bird in 2013 when she was 3 weeks old and was blown from her nest, Caters News Agency reported.

Noah Bloom, 11, found the bird and took her home, where his folks, Cameron and Sam Bloom, helped nurse her back to health.
The family expected Penguin to fly away once she recovered – but the thankful magpie decided to stick around.
Penguin is now a full-fledged member of the family – sharing meals, listening to music and even helping Noah’s siblings – Reuben, 13, and Oli, 9 – do their homework.
Penguin’s proud papa, a professional photographer, captured her loving relationship with his family on camera and shared the photos on Instagram – with a following of some 21,000 fans.
“She flaps her wings and sings when we get home. If she is on the roof and sees us coming, she will then fly down to greet us,” he said. “She loves to cuddle and sing and I know she loves us dearly.”
