This pet fish is really enjoying his golden years.

Splash, a goldfish living in London, just celebrated his 38th birthday — making him a contender for the oldest living goldfish in the world.

Richard and Ann Wright won the little guy at a fair in Gloucestershire back in 1977, according to Caters News Agency.

For most of his life, Splash shared his tank with his fishy friend Splish, but she died two years ago.

If cared for properly, goldfish can usually live up to 30 years in captivity.
