Prepare to increase your weekday drinking — a hangover-free alcohol could soon be a reality.

David Nutt, a professor at Imperial College in London, claims to have created a synthetic alcohol that allows consumers to avoid the nausea and headaches that typically follow drinking.

He calls the drink “alcosynth,” and has so far patented around 90 different compounds. Two types are currently being tested for use, and by 2050 Nutt believes alcosynth could replace normal alcohol.

“They’ll dispense the alcosynth into your cocktail and then you’ll have the pleasure without damaging your liver,” Nutt told the UK’s Independent.
