There’s a pool up there, somewhere (courtesy of Hilton)

*BREAKING* Venice just got its very first rooftop hotel pool! (Not to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but with the way the city’s sinking, every rooftop will be a pool one day. But we digress.)

One of the few bodies of water around town that won’t harm you if you jump in (just ask Katherine Hepburn), this pool we speak of is the crown jewel of the new (open today) Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. What was once a 19th-century flour mill has been magically transformed into a posh 380-room hotel on Giudecca Island. Besides the pool up top, it also has the city’s largest spa. They even managed to dig up some professor of architecture to call it “the most important restoration in the last fifty years.” (That right there ought to be good for a few room nights, eh teach?)
