Remember OpenSkies? That’s the airline that launched JFK-Paris with mostly upper class seating, challenging all-biz class flyer L’Avion on the same route. L’Avion is still flying, but the two brands are now partnered.
The British Airways off-shoot is now revving up to serve Amsterdam from JFK, and through Friday, is selling business class seats for $1,609, inclusive of all. Seats lie fully flat, making this a much better value than the old $1,600 RT advance fares that cheapo biz-flyer MaxJet used to offer on its transatlantic route to London-Stansted. Of course, MaxJet is no longer in business.
