By god, it hasn’t been open a week and already the new Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver — the first in the HK-based hospitality giant’s clan to hit our continent — is offering discounted this, and credit that. Willkommen to the neighborhood!

Now through March 31, guests can nab a room for CAD$345 (US$280) along with a CAD$100 (US$80) food/drink/spa credit. Upgrade to a suite, and that credit doubles. Use it at MARKET by Jean-Georges, the hotel’s signature restaurant, or at CHI, its spa. Just know you’ll be paying an additional 16.5% room tax at check out (that’s our Canada).
