Hotel Le Bristol is on board.

You know times must really be tough when The Leading Hotels of the World activates its DEFCON 5 dollar-bail-out plan.

Rates at 60 of the luxury cartel’s member properties overseas have been set in US dollars — paid in advance when you book — so guests know exactly how much they’ll be out ahead of time, no matter how much the dollar spirals down the Kohler while they’re staying.

As of today, 1 dollar = .64 euro as well as .504 pounds — and while you think it can’t get any worse, any doomsday economist (i.e. The Fed) will tell you it most certainly can. But why obsess about it on vacation? LHW’s program is as much for the psyche as it is for the wallet. Maybe more so.

UPDATE: The following are sample summer rates at some of the participating hotels…

RACK RATE 310GBP = APX $621

GTD USD RATE = $560
