Is it possible to get sick of New Orleans? (Wait – don’t answer that.) One more thing before we move on: This month, when you visit, besides all the awesome Christmas festivities and the excellent, first-ever Prospect.1 art show we wrote about today, you also get the 2nd Annual DesCours event, sponsored by the local chapter of the AIA.

Celebrating not only art, but also architecture, the show is another scattered-site event that transforms various spaces in the Quarter and CBD “into works of new media, interactive design and artistic technology that will showcase local, national and internationally known artists and architects.”

We’d give you the list of the participating architects and artists, but that’s strictly nerd territory, however, the show seems like the sort of thing you’d definitely want to check out if you are in town Dec. 10-14. (Why so short?)

Viewing is free, and the organizers are encouraging visitors to tour the various sites on foot or by bicycle – the latter can be rented at a discount from a local bike shop. Feet you have to bring with you.
