Whether or not you liked the dear departed columnist Molly Ivins’ politics is of no importance – one thing most everyone could agree on is her assessment of Texas.
Millions love the place (we certainly do) but few can express why as succinctly as she could, and did, in this column for the Texas Observer back in 1970.
