Floating in the pool at the Flamingo Beach Resort, I could have sworn this was Miami Beach, circa 1980. Same architecture, same New York accents. Everywhere. Only this time, we were in Costa Rica.
Everyone – and I do mean everyone – from the Northeast seems to be passing through here. No surprise why – it’s easy to get here, and hanging around here can be very affordable. For instance, the Flamingo, in Guanacaste, which is offering rooms for under $130 a night in mid-March.
