Would you stay in this English manor to earn $700 USD?

One real estate service provider has received hundreds of applications since posting a “mansion tester” gig offering £500 to a “detail-oriented luxury-seeking house-hunter” who will stay at and review a luxurious mansion.

“This is a really competitive position — we’ve received hundreds of applications already, including some strong contenders with a true passion for property, so it will be a tough call for us,” My Home Move Conveyancing’s chief business development officer Dev Malle told The Post via a representative.

The purpose of the gig is to promote the company’s online legal services with content from the mansion tester’s stay.

The two-night stay in a $4 million mansion ranges from Sept. 21 to 23, according to the posting by My Home Move Conveyancing. “Conveyancing,” a term not often used in the United States of America, encompasses the legal side of real estate transactions.

The only qualification noted on the listing is that applicants, who have 100 words to make their case, be “detail-oriented” and have a “taste for the finer things in life.” Computer skills and “having a way with words” are also a plus, Malle told The Post.

“This is our first mansion tester position, so it’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity at the moment … Who knows, if the role is successful, we might even make it a permanent position in the future!” Malle added.

One of the best parts of the job, though, is staying in this Georgian house, which normally costs about $2,700 a night, according to Airbnb.

“I was approached by My Home Conveyancing,” the Manor Holcombe owner Maryam Hallas told The Post. “They were looking for a house like ours to give someone an experience of living a luxury life and testing it and then reviewing it.”

The architectural home has columns, a winding staircase, stained glass and sash windows, plus amenities like a pool table, a heated pool, a hot tub, a gym, a playground, gardens, lawns, ponds, flowers, trees, trails and easy access to downtown.

The owners purchased the home in 2015 and lived there with their children and English cocker spaniel for four years until the family relocated to Spain for business. Since then, they have used the home as a vacation spot and a short-term rental.

“We were looking for a family home to bring up the children in a beautiful countryside location. We wanted a home that gave us flexibility to host a lot of family,” she told The Post, recalling Christmases where 20 family members stayed at the house.
