Overheard while watching the World Cup matchup between Italy and Slovakia down on Mulberry Street this morning: “Mannagia! We just got our cannoli kicked in by a bunch of low-life,  faccia de ga–wait, who were those pr@#%s again?”

If you, too, found yourself curious about just where the bejesus those red, white and blue assassins with the sideways Hilton logo hail from, keep scrolling. While Slovakia is one of the lucky few to graduate the Eastern Bloc school of economics magna cum laude (it’s one of only two ex-Commie nations to join the Eurozone), it’s even more surprisingly good looking.
