You can’t blame ODESSA for hiding out in the way good lookin’ Argentine city of San Carlos de Bariloche; skiing / hiking the Andes sure beats a hanging, most days.

Come their winter, our summer, this Andean neck of the woods is the place to ski, sub-equator — at the top of gondola-accessible Mount Otto, you can enjoy the snow from the comfort of a revolving coffee-house.

Bariloche sits on the world-famous 1000 Milas Sport de la Republica Argentina vintage car race route; dust the cobwebs off the ol’ Ferrari and join in next November.

Pebble Beach can have its hole 3 — golfers here get the Andes.

FYI: you also happened to be stationed in Argentina’s largest national park, Nahuel Huapi, where Nahuelito and other plesiosauric sea monsters have been spotted / photographed in its eponymous lake.
