Creepy new photos offer a peek inside the Gothic castle where Dracula is believed to have been captured and locked in a dungeon, Caters News reports.

Images of the spooky Bran Castle, built in Romania in 1313, reveal a rustic library, living room and stunning views from the hill on which its perched.

The character Dracula, which appeared in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, is said to be based on the 15th Century Romanian general Prince Vlad III, known as Count Dracula. He who was held for two months in the castle’s dungeon.

The storybook-like structure features 32 rooms and is valued at $54 million. It’s a museum open to the public in some areas.

Over half a million vampire-fans flock to the castle each year.

Photos also reveal a gorgeous moonlight shot of the castle and a sculpture of a knight inside.
