The world’s best luxury hotel brands of 2024 have been named — according to the elite travel advisers at LTI — Luxury Travel Intelligence.
And for the second year in a row, the Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental hotels were awarded first place.

Stunning views await at Amanera, an Aman property in the Dominican Republic. The brand is one of 15 to make the grade on a new luxury hotel list. LTI Luxury Travel IntelligenceThe exclusive brand flies just three flags in the United States — including one right here in the Big Apple, high above Columbus Circle.
To determine the winners, the pampering pros said they created an algorithm analyzing 130 “touchpoints” relevant to the luxury hotel sector.
“The focus is on a brand’s ability to deliver on its passion, commitment, ethos, and values, together with the quality of its management and staff,” the group said in an announcement.
“Continuing investment and how it is utilized are also significant factors, particularly regarding new properties and the refurbishment of existing ones,” they continued.
Oetker Collection Hotels made the list as the third best luxury hotel brand. Pictured is the Hotel La Palma in Capri. LTI Luxury Travel Intelligence
Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts made the ranking — the Florence, Italy property is one of the city’s most sought-after (and most expensive) addresses. LTI Luxury Travel IntelligenceMandarin currently operates 40 hotels and a slew of branded residential properties in 26 countries and territories.
The original Hong Kong hotel opened in 1963.
Bulgari, Oetker Collection, Six Senses and Aman rounded out the top five.
Auberge Resorts’ Wildflower Farms has made a splash in New York’s Hudson Valley.
Guests can check into the Turret Suite, perched at top the Raffles London at The OWO. LTI Luxury Travel IntelligenceSeveral brands — Bulgari, Dorchester Collection and COMO — made the list for the first time.
“The inclusion of Bulgari is particularly relevant as they are a very focused and well-managed organization, with each property delivering a truly ultra-luxury guest experience,” Michael Crompton, Founder of LTI, said in a statement.
Out of the winning bunch, Aman, Rosewood, Auberge, Four Seasons and Peninsula all have locations in New York.
“With ongoing senior management shifts across the brands, continued eye-watering investment levels, and the aggressive competition in chasing the growing High Net Worth travel spend, who knows what next year will bring,” Crompton said.
Here is the complete list of winners.
