TOOLS: E-Z does it
Hertz recently tested out E-Z Pass rentals with the launch of the PlatePass program at the company’s New York locations earlier this year.
Now the program is going region wide, launching at rental locations in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. It costs nothing – $2.50 per day the system is used, with a maximum fee of $10 per week. Of course, plus tolls. Really: $10 is a small price to pay to zip through the express lanes on the inbound Outerbridge.
By the way: this isn’t something Hertz invented – for more about Plate Pass, check out their website.
