CLOCKING OUT: Americans are passing on London — big time/britannica.com

Welcome to the American Revolution version 2.0, baby! London is becoming less and less attractive to American tourists exercising their self-evident, unalienable right to pursue happiness, according to data provided by travel search engine Cheapflights.com.

A year ago, the city was ranked the #7 most popular search. This year, London’s bridges have fallen to 15th!

But it’s not a stamp tax that’s bumming us out about the place. It’s the weakness of our own money, versus the ridiculous juice of theirs, that has us opting instead to travel domestically. To places like Ft. Lauderdale, which is ranked at #8 (I wonder what kind of gastrointestinal distress that fact gives the Queen?).
