This viral challenge is J. droll.

The hip-hop Twitterati have devised an amusing —  albeit ridiculous — way to kill time while the nation anxiously awaits 2020 election results — riffing on the name of 35-year-old rapper J. Cole (whose full name is Jermaine Lamarr Cole).

The punny pursuit is currently blowing up on social media.

“J Cole is freezing:  J Cold,” wrote one Twitter hip-hop fan to the tune of 2,900 likes.

“J Cole took my wallet: J Stole,” quipped another about Cole, who was accused in June of dissing fellow rapper Noname in his hit single “Snow On Tha Bluff.”

Another social-media wordsmith chimed in: “J Cole working out: J Swole.”

Not to be outdone, one Twitter wit followed up with: “J Cole eating pineapples: J Dole.”

Many participants even alluded to the still-to-be-decided 2020 presidential election.

“J Cole predicting who’s next president: J Poles,” read one topical — but misspelled — Tweet.

Many snarked “j cole counting Nevada’s vote: j slow” in reference to the nationwide impatience over the pending Nevada voting results.

The challenge’s crown jewel was undoubtedly: “J Cole reading books: JK” — an apparent jab at the fact that the hip-hop star is admittedly not an avid reader.

The rap star has yet to comment on his viral name game.

However “J. Cole” isn’t the first celebrity name to spawn a social-media challenge.

Podcast host Joe Rogan received a moniker makeover in 2016 with riffs ranging from “toe rogan” to “doe rogan” along with pics of the comedian’s face superimposed over the aforementioned objects.
