The romantic dress

I was born a romantic-dress girl, so I couldn’t be more excited about all of the gorgeous boho-inspired versions — from embellished to ruffled to sheer — that came down the spring runways. One of my favorites is this midi-length dress from For Love & Lemons: With the flattering lace panels, femme floral print and sweet cap sleeve, it defines dreamy, hippie perfection. I chose to dress it up with a neutral heel, but a broken-in white sneaker works equally well if you’re going for a more casual vibe.
The Gucci girl

No designer defines fashion’s current mood more than Alessandro Michele for Gucci — everyone wants to embrace the brand’s maximalist aesthetic. In Michele’s world, more is more, from the eclectic prints and ombre tulle gowns, to glittery shoes, bags and brooches. The best way to pull off this trend is to mix and match from head to toe with reckless abandon while keeping your silhouette clean: A fitted top, flared skirt and ankle-strap heel are the perfect solutions to keeping this quirky look under control.
The cropped pant

Pants of any kind aren’t part of my regular wardrobe rotation, but I fell hard for this ’70’s-inspired denim pair by AYR as soon as I slipped them on. While a wider silhouette might seem intimidating, the A-line shape is actually flattering on most body styles. When styled with super minimal elements (a bodysuit, choker and colorblock heels) it takes on an understated ’90s-cool-girl look — perfect for this season’s nod to grunge’s heyday.
The off-the-shoulder top

What I love most about this trend is it’s insta-chic vibe. Since I lean toward a girly aesthetic, I styled this powder-blue version from H&M with a flirty skirt and a classic pump, and polished it off with a pair of seriously sparkly earrings. Adding the latter is not only on-trend, but it adds major flair to this summery look. A little styling trick: A strapless bra will ease your undergarment concerns.
The bomber jacket

Over the last year, the bomber jacket graduated from niche throwback to wardrobe essential — and now there couldn’t be more styles to choose from. I styled this pastel, tropical-inspired version from Zara with a minimal slip dress (another major spring trend) and a cool metallic sneaker to let the jacket pop on its own. It’s an all-star piece designed to be the center of attention. Swag? Check.
