A Mexican airline is disputing a tourism board’s claim of when a group of coronavirus-infected Texas college students was in the resort town of Los Cabos for spring break.

The airline, Viva Aerobus, has the group departing Austin on March 14 and returning on March 19, the same dates given by university officials.
Some in the group stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos hotel. Forty nine of the 211 students have tested positive for the virus, Reuters reported.
Those figures originally seemed to indicate that the virus may be more prevalent in Mexico than official numbers show.
Mexico has reported 1,700 confirmed cases and 60 deaths.
