This bald eagle will take its slice to go.

Nature photographer Doug Gemmell captured the moment a juvenile bald eagle swooped into a parking lot at Wethersfield Cove in Connecticut and picked up a stray slice of pepperoni pizza.

Gemmell shared four photos to Facebook, claiming that he waited for the bird to “get low” last week before snapping some shots.

“This morning I watched this crazy thing happen,” he wrote. “Instead of grabbing a fish off the water this Juvenile Bald Eagle grabbed something from the parking lot behind me.”

He added that the blurriness in two of the photos was a snowbank that would’ve made for “very cool shots” if he stood higher up on it.

The eagle must’ve had the best breakfast in town, as Gemmell claims it was chased by four crows.

A typical bald eagle diet includes small animals like waterfowl, turtles, rabbits and snakes, but they usually live around rivers, lakes and marshes so they can eat lots of fish.

The pizza pilfer is reminiscent of the work of NYC’s infamous Pizza Rat, a savvy subway scoundrel fond of dragging slices around train stations.

Not to be outdone by “pretzel rat” and “avocado rat.”
