Police video shows the moment a wannabe Brooklyn slugger — flanked by his two tiny pooches — swinging for the fences as he attacks a stranger with a baseball bat.

The footage, released by police on Wednesday night, first shows the attacker leaving a building in the area of River Street and North 3rd Street in Williamsburg on Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. with two small dogs in tow — and a baseball bat tucked under his arm.

The victim sees the bat-man coming towards him and says, in sum and substance, “You’re not going to hit me with that bat,” according to police sources.

The thug replied by saying he would.

The man then takes a batter’s stance as he swings at the 58-year-old male victim — who runs away.

Police said he then knocked the victim to the ground and continued to pound him with the bat before fleeing west on North 3rd Street.

The injured man was treated at the scene for cuts and bruises.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the attack.
