Kids these days get summoned so fast.

Four-year-old Damien Shrader of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, recently received a summons for jury duty in his great-grandmother’s mailbox.

“He’s always been a very serious child, but I didn’t think he was quite ready for that kind of a thing,” Damien’s mother, Desiree Shrader, who has never been summoned herself, told WNEP.

Luckily, Damien’s parents went to the Luzerne County Courthouse for him and explained the situation. He was formally excused on account of he was in preschool that day.

The court believes his name was added to a juror list after his great-grandmother filed tax documents, which included stocks in his name.
