An Oregon woman got the surprise of her life when a naked man barged into her home, tried to hug her – and cheerfully uttered, “Hi, Honey!”
Police found 30-year-old Steven Burton naked, hanging upside down from a tree.Pendleton Police and FireGail Wilson, who has muscular dystrophy, said she thought the man was a crime or accident victim when he showed up in the buff – but quickly realized he was a menace and shoved him off.
He later ended up hanging upside down from a tree.
“He had a big grin on his face,” she told the East Oregonian. “He came walking toward me with his arms open wide. I kept saying, ‘Get away from me! Get out of my house!’”
Wilson, who was home alone, was sitting on her lift chair during the bizarre encounter.
“With my muscular dystrophy, I needed him to get close enough to me so I had the strength to push him away,” the Pendleton woman told KPTV.

She called a 911 dispatcher, who told her to ask the man for his name. But when she asked him, he ran off.
Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts said the man scaled a fence and dove off the side of a 40- or 50-foot bluff that borders the Umatilla River, the paper reported.
When cops heard no splash, they ran to get a better view.
“When they got there, they looked down,” Roberts said. “He was hanging upside-down in a tree.”
Roberts said the apparently drugged-up guy’s left ankle became wedged in the tree a few feet from the bank.
The uninvited guest, identified as 30-year-old Steven Burton, was plucked from the tree and charged with burglary, harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
