The tiger seen on the loose in Houston, Texas.TwitterPolice have identified the Texas man allegedly caught on camera with a Bengal tiger outside of his home.
Victor Hugo Cuevas, 26, is facing charges of felony evading arrest for leading cops on a chase Sunday when they tried to question him about his oversized, furry companion, the Houston Police Department wrote in a tweet around Monday afternoon local time.
But for now, he remains on the lam.
“If you see him, call @CrimeStopHOU at 713-222-TIPS,” HPD wrote alongside a 2017 booking photo of the suspect.
“The tiger portion of the investigation is continuing.”
Cuevas, who is out on bond on murder charges stemming from an earlier incident, was allegedly caught on video sparring with a neighbor Sunday, who became upset when the tiger was outside and prowling around the neighborhood.
“Get the f–k back inside. F–k you and your f–king tiger,” the man can be heard saying in the video while apparently pointing a gun at the suspect and the collared big cat.
The tiger was out in public in violation of city ordinances, prompting Cuevas to bring it back inside his home where two monkeys also apparently live, police officials told reporters Monday.
Cops were called to the location but when they arrived, Cuevas corralled the big cat into a white Jeep and took off, police said.
The tiger’s whereabouts are unknown.
