It looks like she’s having a blast.
A woman is trying to set a world record by living on top of a volcano for a month.
Perla Tijerina is living on Pico de Orizaba, the highest peak in Mexico and the tallest volcano in North America.
The 31-year-old will live 18,620 feet above sea level for 32 days — a feat she’s excited to accomplish.
“I like to test my mental strength,” Tijerina, from Saltillo, Mexico, told NeedToKnow.online.
She’s calling this challenge the “high-rise woman.” Tijerina is working through the struggles of living on a volcano such as violent winds, electrical storms, hypothermia and mountain sickness.

“I am never alone, I have too many books to read, and I meditate,” she shared. “I have the Bible that I read at all times to keep me spiritually and mentally strong.”
