You know a home listing is unique when the first lines of the description are, “Do you like fun and adventure?” But no one could ever be prepared for what was inside a three-bedroom house in Pittsburgh listed for $159,000. Hint: “time travel at warp speed to the 25th-century starship” was also mentioned, according to the Realtor.com listing.

Although the red brick exterior of the 1969-built home is unassuming, the design insanity begins at the entrance. That’s because the front door is from a 13th-century castle. From there, it dips into a sunken living room with soaring oak-beamed ceilings. It’s there where you will find a classic brick fireplace next to a sky-high outer space wall mural and a talking space alien. Of course, that just sets the theme for other parts of the wild home.

The dining room also acts as a mock command center with a rear wall that opens to the spaceship main bridge. It has everything from a working computer to control from a real Apache helicopter. A 55-inch screen and speakers allow the new owners to embrace any spacey fantasy they wish. A pocket door leads to a functional (and relatively normal-looking) kitchen. A hatch door complete with a vault-like handle takes you to a laundry, storage, and workshop area.

And that’s just the first floor. A spiral staircase stretches to the second floor with a den, walkway and three bedrooms. One bedroom has a tropical island theme complete with sand while another is supposed to resemble a 1970 hippie crash bed and has a queen-size waterbed. The one bathroom is a full-on jungle with fake leaves covering the walls.

The backyard is a far cry from the crazy interior. It features a simple pool and patio area with the most over-the-top detail being the wisteria over a pergola.

Not surprisingly, the listing has garnered a lot of attention. In just four days, it’s had over 120,00 views. And when Twitter user @frazierapproves shared it on his account, proclaiming “I just discovered the greatest house listing of all time,” it received over 134,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

“$150k for a spaceship with a pool seems reasonable,” wrote one Twitter user. Another commented, “The only explanation for them selling this place is they’re moving into an actual spaceship.”
