A Florida bee removal expert sent entomophobes’ skin crawling after she discovered a bee-hemoth 7-foot-tall hive behind a client’s bathroom while responding to a call. Footage of the freaky find currently boasts 3.3 million views on TikTok.
“I got a surprise when I started breaking away behind the shower wall,” self-proclaimed “lover of bees” Elisha Bixler exclaimed in the remarkable clip, which was recently posted by ViralHog.
Bixler, who runs the beekeeping service “How’s Your Day Honey,” was responding to a call from some bee-sieged home-owners in her native St. Petersburg. They had reportedly grown tired of listening to the incessant buzzing and random bees “escaping the wall whenever they would use the bathroom,” per the vid.
Little did they know, their bathroom wall harbored a humongous honeycomb.
A Florida bee removal expert sent entomophobes’ skin crawling after she discovered a bee-hemoth 7-foot-tall hive behind a client’s bathroom while responding to a call. TikTokThe accompanying footage shows the massive, “seven foot long” hive which is swarming with hundreds of the stinging insects in a scene straight out of the 1992 horror film “Candyman.”
“Look at all that honey,” exclaims Bixler, who can be seen casually poking the “incredible” nest with her finger so the syrupy goodness oozes out.
The clip concludes with the bee lover toting a metal clamp, which is designed to transport the queen bee so her workers will follow, in preparation to relocate them to a new home.
“I’m going to take them home to one of my apiaries.” gushed Bixler on camera to her nearly 800,000 followers.
The remarkable clip resonated with the TikTok commentariat, who were impressed at how calm the bee-radicator remained while handling the entomological metropolis.
“BRO MY FIRST REACTION WAS THATS HORRIFYING but u were so calm about it and i kinda realized hey that’s actually pretty cool,” exclaimed one amazed gawker.
Another wrote, “ooh that scared me at first and then I thought oh this young person knows what they’re doing and will save the bees.”
The homeowners complained of constant buzzing behind the wall. TikTok“Is that a boo ‘bee’ trap?” joked one TikTok wit.
