A nut climbed a traffic pole and perched himself above a busy Midtown intersection on Wednesday afternoon.

The emotionally disturbed man — who was not immediately identified — scaled the pole at West 36th Street and 6th Avenue just before 2 p.m. and somehow shimmied his way to the trio of the signals above the intersection, where he hung out until cops arrived, according to video from the scene and police.

The man was hoisted down by NYPD and taken to the hospital for a psychological evaluation and got off light with no charges, according to cops.
