A mysterious mass of space trash is set to hit earth next month–on Friday the 13th.

Aptly dubbed WT1190F–or WTF– the galactic chunk of junk will be about 3 to 6 feet long, and enter the earth’s atmosphere above the Indian Ocean in Sri Lanka, scientists say.

The rogue debris was orbiting the earth from beyond the moon, and much of it will likely burn up as it enters the earth’s atmosphere on 06:19 GMT November 13th.

Any remaining scraps are expected to splash into the ocean.

The make-up of the space junk remains unclear, but it “is likely to be a rocket body,” according to the European Space Agency.

WTF’s re-entry is a special treat for scientists, as it provides them with the rare opportunity to study the interaction between incoming objects and our atmosphere.

Harvard astrophysicist Johnathan McDowell mused to Nature News the debris could be a “lost piece of space history come back to haunt us.”
