Only in #NYC and the @MTA you get to see stuff like this. On the way home, in the 1 train. #funny#palmtreeinthetrain#NYC#NEWYORKCITYpic.twitter.com/ybqS5pc2xK

It’ll take more than a single palm tree to turn the subway into a relaxing, tropical paradise — but this guy’s trying.

Footage posted on Twitter Wednesday shows a man inexplicably lugging a palm tree off of No. 1 train.

“Excuse me,” the camouflage-wearing rider can be heard asking softly, as he pulls the tropical tree out onto the platform, leaving a trail of water behind him.

“Only in NYC and the MTA [do] you get to see stuff like this,” tweeted @ChefJoab, along with the clip.

Some riders can be heard chortling while others sit non-pulsed reading the paper — or perhaps daydreaming of vacation days and pina coladas.
