A Parks Department worker cleaning animal waste from a collapsing Army structure in Fort Totten, Queens, fell through a second-story floor and was swallowed in feces and animal carcasses, officials said.
Cory Credell, 45, told The Post he still feels “woozy” after being stuck in the toxic hell hole for an hour Monday.
“You can’t even imagine how disgusting it was,” he said, adding that the animal feces was “ankle deep.”
Credell said he balked at the task because of the smell, but said his supervisor told him and his partner to put on masks and suck it up.
“As soon as I stepped around it, the floor caved,” he said. Firefighters rescued him and he was treated for an injured knee.
