This bird got the stuffing knocked out of him.

A Massachusetts woman crashed into a turkey crossing a road in Sandwich, Monday, sending the bird flying through her windshield and all the way to the rear of her car, police said.

The 43-year-old woman was in her 2007 Kia Sportage around 8:30 a.m. when she collided with the turkey on Route 6A in East Sandwich.

“The bird crashed through the windshield… and passed between the driver and the unoccupied passenger seat,” Sandwich Police said. “The bird continued through the passenger compartment, striking the rear tailgate of the vehicle.”

The woman, who hasn’t been publicly identified, was hurt by the broken glass. The turkey did not survive.

Police don’t suspect fowl play. They said “solar glare” may have contributed to the incident.
