Wild videos posted online Thursday show the kook who perched on a traffic signal above a busy Midtown intersection looking quite content — before being hauled back down to earth by cops.

The emotionally disturbed man, who was not named, scaled the light pole at West 36th Street and 6th Avenue just before 2 p.m Wednesday and made his way to the light in the middle of the intersection, according to cops.

New videos posted to social media Thursday, show the man sitting calmly atop the signal as passersby gawk.

“Only in New York,” one onlooker can be heard saying on one of the videos.

In a second video, a pair of cops can be seen climbing an Emergency Services Unit truck to physically wrench him off the light, which sways as they tug at the man.

The man, who was not charged, was taken to a nearby hospital for a psychological evaluation.
