A British great-grandmother has discovered she has been celebrating her birthday on the wrong day for her entire life – 100 years, to be exact.
Elsie Aslett said it came as a surprise when a pension official noticed a mistake on her birth certificate. It turns out her birthday is Dec. 18, not Dec. 14, as she had believed.

A wolf has been captured after wandering too close to China’s famed Great Wall, causing “widespread fear,” a report said.
The wolf is being kept at a nature park and will be released in uninhabited mountains far from the wall.
