This campaign tactic is pure garbage.

Just months before a primary, the mayor of Pittsburgh is spending city money on 250 new trash cans – all with his name on them.

His aides say Luke Ravenstahl wants people to know he is responsive to their needs.

Oh, what torture.

A man held a woman hostage in Toledo, Ohio, for three days, and did nothing but read the Bible to her.

Troy Brisport grabbed the woman off the street, handcuffed her, put her in an adult diaper and read nonstop to her.

She escaped after he fell asleep.

Hey, it’s a green car.

A Utah man puzzled by why his gas gauge always read half-full was stunned when mechanics told him it was because the tank was filled with 35 pounds of marijuana worth $35,000.

The car, a Nissan Armada, has had several owners and was once a rental car. Cops say the current owner is not a suspect.

Talk about having a bitch for a wife.

A baby boy in India was married to a neighbor’s dog after the child grew a tooth out of his upper gum which members of his tribe believe is a bad omen making him prone to attacks from wild animals.

“It will overcome any curse that might fall on the child as well as on us,” said his father.

Sometimes, you’ve just got to eat.

A quail believed extinct for decades was spotted alive in the Philippines, but conservationists were unable to save it from the cooking pot despite their best efforts to convince the hunters who caught it.

“The locals do not value the biodiversity around them,” said Michael Lu of the Wild Bird Club. “What if this was the last of its species?”
