A North Carolina woman was arrested for burglary after forcing her way into an apartment and asking three men inside to give her $10 in exchange for sex, police said.
Nicole Mary Scarpone, 26, “indicated that she just showed up to make some quick money,” Officer B.H. Carr said.

A Florida eighth-grader was suspended from riding his school bus for three days for passing gas.
“It wasn’t even me. It was the kid who sits next to me,” said purported cheese-cutter Jonathan Locke Jr., 15.
Polk County school official Jerome Corbett said that although there is no specific rule banning flatulence, “There’s a rule against disturbing the bus.”

Girls in Wisconsin have begun ingesting livestock drugs to abort their pregnancies.
Anna Anderson, director of a pregnancy center in Monroe, said she has identified 10 girls between 14 and 18 who admitted taking a cow abortifacient as a cheap and easy way to end their pregnancies.

A Schenectady, NY, woman was arrested for allegedly hitting the gas when her two daughters jumped on her car because she refused to take them for ice cream.
La Tasha Daniels’ 14-year-old suffered brain injuries when she was thrown off the car, but her 12-year-old was not hurt.
Daniels now has had all five of her children taken from her by county officials.

A thoroughbred horse in England has been outfitted with a special, high-tech garment that allows her to go outdoors despite her allergy to grass.
Pandora is allergic to every type of grass, eats a special diet of sugar-beet chaff and soya oil, and takes more then a dozen antihistamine tablets per day.
“She does look silly, but it is the only thing that helps her,” said her owner, Emily Pearce.
