Washington state environmental regulators finally found the source of pollution that had been fouling a creek: their own sewer pipes.

Workers have discovered that a Vancouver, Wash., office building’s sewer line was mistakenly connected to a storm drain, rather than the municipal sewer main. The offending building houses the state Department of Ecology’s regional offices.

An unemployed Connecticut woman is giving new meaning to a “job wanted” ad.

Pasha Stocking, of East Hampton, has rented a billboard along Interstate 95 in Bridgeport, telling motorists. “Hire Me!” It directs people to her Web site, http://www.hirepasha.com.

The 37-year-old single mom was laid off in June and wants a job in marketing or design.

The billboard company says similar ads cost about $7,000 a month.

A cellphone used by a 13-year-old Wyoming girl to run up $5,000 in charges will text no more, thanks to her angry father — and his hammer.

Dena Christoffersen, of Cheyenne, sent or received about 20,000 text messages over a month, and her parents’ phone plan didn’t cover texting.

After receiving the $4,750 bill, dad Gregg Christoffersen sent his own message to Dena’s phone — smashing it to bits.

Cops busted a 30-year-old Burnsville, Minn., man for firing arrows into the side of a neighbor’s townhouse.

The suspect was trying to impress a woman, after they’d been drinking and become “extremely intoxicated,” cops said. The woman said her pal wanted to “play Rambo.”

Parishioners at a Swedish church yesterday celebrated Easter by unveiling a 6-foot statue of Jesus that they had built out of 30,000 Lego blocks.

It took the 40 volunteers about 18 months to put all the pieces together.
