A male hummingbird trying to impress his girlfriend achieves speeds “greater than a fighter jet with its afterburners on,” University of California researcher Christopher Clark has found.

The little lovebirds can speed along at 400 body lengths a second.

She’s rarer than a yellow submarine.

Fiona, a yellow lobster, was recently caught off the coast of Canada and now lives at a seafood restaurant on Cape Cod.

The owner says the crustacean, a 1-in-30 million rarity, will not wind up in a pot of boiling water, explaining it would be like “steaming a Rembrandt.”
