Sometimes Minnesota Twins outfielder Carlos Gomez wishes he had a bit less team spirit.

A spirit, he says, haunts him when he plays in Milwaukee and is put up at the historic Pfister Hotel. Once, he heard voices. Another time, he got so frightened when his iPod went haywire after he stepped out of the shower that he ran to the lobby without pants or shoes on.

“Everything’s scary,” the former Met said, “the paintings, the pictures. It’s a lot of old, crazy stuff. No good, man. No good.”
