A Pennsylvania psych-hosp worker has admitted giving four nails to a patient and getting her to swallow them.

Athena Marie Sidlar, a former trainee at Allentown State Hospital, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment.

She showed an 18-year-old female patient how to swallow nails in January. Four nails had to be removed from the patient’s stomach.

The FBI wants to know who anonymously donated laptop computers to governor’s offices in West Virginia, Vermont, Wyoming and Washington.

“I don’t know what’s on them, but I’m assuming we didn’t receive these as a gesture of goodwill,” said Kyle Schafer, West Virginia’s chief technology officer. “We take very strong measures to protect ourselves from the outside world.”

San Francisco’s new top cop is proposing an amnesty program — for his own officers.

Chief George Gascón told The San Francisco Chronicle he wants about 75 minor cop disciplinary matters dismissed. The cases, before the civilian Police Commission, would generally involve first-time offenders accused of such things as using inappropriate language.

A 34-year-old wife was arrested in Florida for allegedly assaulting her husband after spotting him licking another woman’s face. She dragged him out of a bar in Fort Walton Beach — by his hair — while hitting him.
