Researchers have finally answered the momentous question that has baffled mankind since the beginning of time:
What do cats do when they’re home alone?
The researchers strapped cameras to 50 kitties and found that, contrary to popular belief, their favorite activity is not catnapping.
They spent the biggest chunk of time, 22 percent, looking out windows. They slept just 6 percent of the time.

And what do cows do when they’re bored?
Jerry Lynn Davis of Rogersville, Tenn., says his neighbor’s cows caused $100 worth of damage by licking his house.
It was not clear what made that house so tasty.

A pioneer aviator celebrated her upcoming 100th birthday by piloting a helicopter.
Doris Lockness took the controls for an hourlong flight over central California. She started flying in 1939 and also earned licenses to pilot gliders, gyroplanes and seaplanes.
The flight, her first in 15 years, was a present from her co-pilot on the chopper, John Crawford.
“I always love flying with someone who has more experience and more stories than I have,” he said.

A Corvette stolen in 1970 from Chance Mayfield in Nashville, Tenn., is being returned — in prime condition — by an antique-car dealer who checked an insurance database.
When the thief drove away with it 39 years ago, it was worth about $2,200. Now it would go for $65,000.
Mayfield recalled walking out of a bar to find the blue car gone. “That ruined my night,” he said.
