Easton, Pa., Judge Leonard Zito did double duty in his courtroom. First, he held a hearing for drug suspect Franklin Barndt, then he presided over Barndt’s wedding to his fiancée, Takesha Piazza.
“We’re a full-service court,” Zito explained.

The superhero has taken on a very modern job — coming to the rescue of a family facing foreclosure.
They were packing to leave their home in the southern part of the country — the exact location was not disclosed — and when they got to the basement, stumbled on a copy of the first comic in which Superman appeared.
It’s expected to go for at least a quarter of a million dollars at auction.

A pastor in Warner Robins, Ga., was busted for protesting in front of a high school whose nickname is “Demons” and whose mascot wields a pitchfork.
A school spokesman said he got it wrong — the mascot honors a World War II fighter squadron, the Screamin’ Demons.

The owner of a Warsaw, Ohio, strip club and his dancers turned the tables on a church whose members have been protesting them for years.
The bikini-wearing gals brought chairs and sat outside the church during Sunday’s service.

A burglar in Sarasota, Fla., caught in a home he’d robbed three years earlier, told cops he’d recently gotten out of jail and “I was going back in there to leave a thank-you note because I’m the guy who burglarized this place.”
His story might have been a bit more convincing had cops not found him with a load of jewelry he’d just collected.
