Descendants of legendary Old West lawman Pat Garrett have urged New Mexico’s governor to reject a plan to posthumously pardon Billy the Kid.

The notorious outlaw was killed in 1881 by Garrett, whose relatives feel such a move would tarnish their ancestor’s honor.

One of them, Pauline Garrett Tillinghast, said, “We have a tendency unfortunately in this country to glorify criminals.”

A customer at a Fayetteville, NC, Krispy Kreme got a box full of doughnuts — hold the nuts.

Before taking the store’s receipts to the bank, a manager had put $5,000 in a doughnut box.

A careless clerk handed it to the customer, who hasn’t been seen since.

A landlord in Charlotte, NC, found an excellent way to get back at tenants who owe him two months’ rent.

He painted the words “deadbeat tenants” on the house.

The renters called cops, who declined to charge the landlord, saying spray-painting one’s own property is no crime.

A witness gave cops in upstate Lockport a great description of a man involved in a fatal shooting.

The only problem is it fits twin brothers — and the officers have yet to figure out which one to charge.

The twins made it even more difficult for police by dressing identically in court.

Another triumph for England.

A total of 102 people at an amusement park east of London broke the record for the number of naked people riding a roller coaster.

“It takes a lot of nerve to take off your clothes” in front of so many people. said Barbara Warner, an official of the charity that benefited to the tune of about $35,000.
