Arlene Kahn bought ground beef there, and was shocked to find two prescription sleeping pills in the meat as she started preparing beef Stroganoff.

She called police, who said they could do nothing for her, but Wal-Mart gave her a $40 gift certificate.

“They were yelling, ‘Get out of the pool, get out of the pool!’ ” said mom Carrie Craven, whose kids were enjoying the water when the pool started draining and then got sucked into the sinkhole.

No one was hurt.

The speed demon was going so fast that two cameras failed to pick him up because sensors could only register up to 125 mph.

A hairdresser in England was shocked when she got a $600,000 tip from a loyal customer — and was even more shocked when a judge made her give it back.

Jill Fraser, 72, was left the tip in the will of Ethel Wilson, whose hair Fraser cut for some 40 years.

But a judge overruled the will, and decided that Wilson’s relatives should get the cash.
