The Vatican’s official newspaper has published a story about “The Simpsons” headlined “Homer and Bart are Catholics.”
L’Osservatore Romano goes on to say that although Homer “does everything he can” to hide it, he’s a believer.
The article praises the long-running Fox cartoon, saying “it’s among the few TV programs for children in which Christian faith, religion and questions about God are recurrent themes.”

The tide was high on the Shawsheen River in Lawrence, Mass.
Rocky Morrison, part of a group of volunteers cleaning up the river, spotted a floating plastic bag and fished it out.
It turned out to contain marijuana, some of which was packaged for sale.
Cops said the pot was worth $2,000 on the street.
