When cops in Seattle needed to set up a ticketing lot for a nearby speed trap, they picked the most logical place — a doughnut shop.
Some 50 city officers and state troopers spent the day operating out of the parking lot of a Krispy Kreme shop.
They handed out 120 tickets, which should keep them in doughnuts for a while.

In Virginia Beach, Va., there’s no crying in kindergarten.
A 6-year-old boy was suspended from the Tallwood Elementary School after teachers said he was wailing too much and violating their zero-tolerance policy toward tears.
The school said the incessant crying was disruptive, and the boy’s parents are wailing over the black mark on his record.

The elderly crossing guard’s dance routine included hip thrusts and other stripper-like bumps and grinds.
“I’ve got the energy of three people,” she said. “I’m like a volcano waiting to explode.”
