The next competition for Miss Wisconsin USA will be in court.
Shaletta Porterfield, formerly Miss Madison, gave up her crown because she’s been busted for alleged identity theft. Her defense lawyer said the beauty has made mistakes and is “ready to move on.”
Now first-runner up Jordan Marie Morkin, of Green Bay, will compete for Miss USA in Las Vegas next month.

Good fences make good neighbors — and so do working sewers.
A Parma, Ohio, man blocked nearby sewers with carpeting during a recent storm, causing local streets to flood, cops said.
Shirtless and drunk John Kish, 56, waved a gun and threatened to shoot anyone who tried to unblock the sewers, neighbors told police. Kish told cops he had blocked the sewers to prevent his own basement from flooding.

The city’s schools won a $2 million federal grant to install cameras and bar-code technology to find out exactly what kids are eating and throwing away. .

The food fight, which included someone pulling the fire alarm, was so big that Fairfax County police are looking to press criminal charges against offenders.
