Weird but true
TSA agents pulled a 29-year-old mentally handicapped man out of line because he was armed — with a toy plastic hammer.
Detroit airport officers confiscated the toy from Drew Mandy, who has the mental capacity of a 2-year-old.

A Chicago judge set bail at $50,000 for a man charged with showing a handgun to a convenience-store clerk who refused to give him 99 cents.
When the clerk refused to fork over the change, Christopher Tisley, 34, displayed a gun, then ran off before he was arrested a block away, cops said.

Neighbors complained about disgusting growth sprouting from a West Vancouver, Wash., home, and narcotics agents believed it was a telltale sign of a pot-growing operation.
When they raided the house, they found 1,600 cannabis plants valued at $2.4 million.

An Alabama man was nearly killed riding a bucking bull, suffering two broken ankles and a busted left arm.
“Some people want to jump out of a plane or go bungee jumping,” said Terry Hatfield, 56. “Riding a bull was on my bucket list.”
