A mountain lion amazingly strolled more than 1,500 miles from the Black Hills of North Dakota to Connecticut — where its record-setting cat walk tragically ended in an encounter with an SUV on a highway near New Haven.
The 6-year-old male — the first spotted in Connecticut in more than a century — traveled twice the distance that any other mountain lion is known to have covered.

A Florida man faces charges of attacking his girlfriend — with a grilled-cheese sandwich.
The snack-down happened when a furious Todd Harvey of Daytona Beach allegedly mashed the sandwich into Amanda Fulford’s face.
Hungry for revenge, she responded by biting his tongue, cops said.

A photographer in Siberia had a great idea for making a few extra rubles — he took his pet crocodile to a popular local lake and offered tourists a chance to pose with it.
But the 6-foot reptile escaped into the water, sending hundreds of terrified swimmers sprinting for the shore.
“It was quite a young crocodile and there was plenty of food in the water — swimmers,” said a cop who helped capture it. “We didn’t want him to grow any bigger.”
